Buyers and Sellers At The Same Closing Table

Most of the time buyers and sellers have separate closings in Nashville TN. The closing attorneys for each may be in different parts of the city. The closers cooperate on the closing documents, and either fax or email to each other. Changes to the HUD-1 settlement statement can be made at the last minute.

But sometimes buyers and sellers are together at the closing table, and that is fun and interesting. I have to say that I have dreaded that type of closing sometimes, but it always is cordial, even if the negotiations have been a little tense leading up to the closing. Everyone is so glad to get to closing, that all of a sudden tips are being passed about the neighborhood, about the riding lawn mower that was left, about the white squirrels that are a true novelty. It is a study in human nature, usually in the best sense.

That's one reason I love this business. I am always meeting nice people and getting to be there with them through their transitions.
